Become our next Head of People
As Head of People, reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will play a central role in building strong and trusted relationships with stakeholders internally and externally, strengthening the People function, embedding innovative and robust solutions, implementing change and ensuring an inclusive and engaging employee experience for colleagues which maps to ENO’s Vision, Mission and Values.
Become our next Chief Executive Officer
You will shape the future of a world-class organisation at a time of renewal for the organisation. You will drive the strategy, galvanise our people, and champion ENO’s artistic and social impact on a national scale.
This role is now closed.
Head of People
Welcome
Thank you for your interest in becoming the next Head of People of English National Opera (ENO) and the London Coliseum (LCL). This is a pivotal moment for our company, shaped by bold ambition across Greater Manchester and London, and by the transformative role our people will play in ENO’s future.
Since 1931, ENO has stood for opera without limits – work of the highest artistic ambition created for the widest possible public. As we expand our presence in Greater Manchester, continue our daring opera seasons in London, and deepen our national impact through our award‑winning learning and engagement work, there is a real sense of momentum at ENO.
With strong organisational foundations in place, we are entering an exciting new chapter. We now seek a Head of People who can harness this moment of opportunity: someone who believes that opera should be for everyone, who understands the transformative potential of building a people-centric people and culture team, who can co-create a culture in which our colleagues feel supported, valued and able to flourish.
Our world‑class chorus, orchestra, technical teams, colleagues and creative partners are at the heart of our organisation. Their talent and dedication drive everything we do. We seek a people leader who will champion an inclusive, collaborative culture; who can steward the evolution of our dual‑city model; and who will ensure that ENO has the organisational resilience, capability and wellbeing support needed to thrive as we approach our Centenary Year in 2031.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role is central to how we work, how we support our teams and how we live our values. If you believe that people are the engine of artistic excellence; if you care deeply about inclusive, equitable and purpose‑driven workplaces; and if you want to play a defining role in shaping the future of one of the UK’s most iconic cultural institutions, we would be delighted to hear from you.
We look forward to welcoming our next Head of People.

Chief Executive
Welcome
Thank you for your interest in becoming the next Chief Executive Officer of English National Opera (ENO) and the London Coliseum (LCL). This is a defining moment for our company, one shaped by bold ambition across Greater Manchester and London.
Since 1931, ENO has stood for opera without limits – work of the highest artistic ambition created for the widest possible public. As we expand our presence in Greater Manchester, continue our daring opera seasons in London, and deepen our national impact through our award-winning learning and engagement work, there’s a real sense of momentum at ENO.
With excellent foundations laid by our outgoing CEO, Jenny Mollica, and the outstanding artistic leadership of Annilese Miskimmon and André de Ridder, we’re poised for our next chapter. We seek a CEO who can harness this moment of extraordinary possibility: someone who believes that opera should be for everyone, who can galvanise our people, maximise the potential of the London Coliseum, ensure the ENO’s ongoing financial health and stability and lead ENO’s transition to a dual city model with passion and purpose as we look ahead to our Centenary Year in 2031.
Our world-class chorus, orchestra, technical teams, colleagues and creative partners are the heart of our company. Their talent and dedication drive everything we do. We seek a leader who will empower them, champion an inclusive culture and create the conditions in which creativity and excellence can thrive at every level.
If you believe opera must be dynamic, relevant, generous in spirit and open to all, we’d be delighted to hear from you. This is a rare opportunity, alongside the Board and Senior Leadership team, to shape the future of one of the UK’s most iconic cultural institutions and to redefine what opera can mean for the communities we serve – and those we have yet to reach.
We look forward to welcoming our next visionary leader.
